Gov. Jeff Landry Appoints Jarrod Coniglio as Secretary of Louisiana Department of Revenue

BATON ROUGE- Gov. Jeff Landry has appointed Jarrod J. Coniglio as Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Revenue. Brandea Averett will be promoted to Deputy Secretary and Catherine Logan will be promoted to Assistant Secretary, Office of Legal Affairs.

"First, I want to thank Richard Nelson for his dedicated service over the past two years as Secretary of Revenue," said Governor Jeff Landry. "Under his leadership, and with the hard work of this team, we passed historic tax reform that has already helped attract tens of billions of dollars in new investment to our state. I look forward to continuing that momentum with Jarrod Coniglio as Secretary, and I am proud to recognize Brandea Averett and Catherine Logan as they move into their new roles and continue serving the people of Louisiana."

Background:

Jarrod J. Coniglio is the Deputy Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Revenue, appointed by Governor Jeff Landry in 2024. He has over two decades of leadership experience in state government, healthcare program integrity, and financial services. Mr. Coniglio previously led Louisiana's Medicaid Program Integrity Section, served as Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary at LDR, and held senior roles in banking with JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo. A veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University. Mr. Coniglio resides in Walker, Louisiana, with his wife, Wendy. They are the parents of three children-Branden (married to Courtney), Laura (married to Brett Robinson), and Emma-and grandparents to Camille (daughter of Branden and Courtney) and Drew and Adelaide (children of Brett and Laura Robinson).
