Census Bureau to Release 2025 ACS 1-year Estimates, Host Prerelease Webinar

The U.S. Census Bureau is scheduled to publicly release 2025 American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year estimates and 1-year Supplemental Estimates Oct. 29.

Data will be available for states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, congressional districts, metropolitan statistical areas and other geographic areas that meet the products' publication threshold - populations of 65,000 or more for the ACS 1-year estimates and populations of 20,000 or more for the 1-year Supplemental Estimates.

Prior to the public release, the Census Bureau will host a prelease webinar. This webinar will explain how to access ACS data and resources and provide tips for comparing geographies and statistics over time.

The ACS provides a wide range of statistics about the nation's people and housing, such as language spoken at home, education, commuting, employment, mortgage status and rent, income, poverty and health insurance coverage. It is the only source of local estimates for most of the 40-plus topics it covers.

Embargo subscribers will have access to these statistics from Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. ET to Thursday, Oct. 29 at 12:01 a.m. ET. Wire and distribution services are prohibited from distributing embargoed news stories and data files before the public release date and time. For more information, refer to the Census Bureau's embargo policy. All datasets will be available to the public by 10 a.m. ET Oct. 29.
