AFPM applauds Utah agreement around HB 575

Washington, D.C. - AFPM Senior Vice President of Government Relations & Policy, Geoff Moody, issued the following statement today on Utah's announcement of an agreement around House Bill 575:

"AFPM applauds the leadership of Governor Spencer Cox, Senate President J. Stuart Adams and House Speaker Mike Schultz for building consensus around this legislation."

"Utah is leaning into its advantages as a producer and refiner of energy and has become an energy powerhouse as a result. Every year, Utah becomes more and more important to energy security in the Western United States and it's a place American refineries and midstream companies are confident and eager to invest."
