District Man Sentenced to 33 Months for Role in Southeast Washington Fentanyl Trafficking Conspiracy

WASHINGTON - Charles Dixon, 47, a previously convicted felon residing in the District, was sentenced today to 33 months in federal prison for his role in a fentanyl trafficking conspiracy operating out of Southeast D.C., announced U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro.

Dixon pleaded guilty on June 30, 2026, before U.S. District Judge Trevor N. McFadden to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. In addition to the 33-month prison term, Judge McFadden ordered Dixon to serve five years of supervised release.

According to court documents, between October 2024 and September 2025, Dixon worked with co-defendants to distribute counterfeit M30 oxycodone pills containing fentanyl in the area of the 2000 block of 19th Place SE.

Dixon supplied the fentanyl pills to his coconspirators for redistribution, including 96 pills used in an April 2025 controlled buy and another 163 pills supplied for a July 2025 purchase. A search of Dixon's residence in October 2025 yielded additional fentanyl pills and a firearm with an extended magazine.

Dixon has 10 prior convictions, including at least one prior felony including a 2001 gun offense, according to court filings.

This case was investigated by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration Washington Field Office.

The matter was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Iris Y. McCranie and Kate Naseef of the Violent Crime and Narcotics Trafficking Division.

This case is part of the Department of Justice's broader efforts to combat fentanyl trafficking and drug related violence in the District of Columbia. Fentanyl remains one of the deadliest substances circulating in the illegal drug supply, and counterfeit pills containing fentanyl pose extreme risks to unwitting users and the community at large.
