Multiple Vigor Marine Group facilities have been recognized by the Shipbuilders Council of America, the national trade association representing the U.S. shipbuilding, maintenance, and repair industry, as part of the organization's 2025 annual safety awards honoring excellence across the maritime industrial base.
VMG facilities in Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, and Norfolk received recognition for excellence in workplace safety and continued improvement in safety performance.
The following VMG facilities received the SCA Award for "Excellence in Safety," recognizing shipyards with a Total Recordable Incident Rate below the industry average:
In addition, VMG facilities in Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, and Norfolk received the SCA Award for "Improvement in Safety," recognizing shipyards that achieved a 10% or greater reduction in Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) compared to the previous year.
The recognition reflects Vigor Marine Group's continued focus on workplace safety and employee wellbeing across its shipyard operations.
