Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović welcomed the unanimous adoption of amendments to the Constitution of Montenegro, describing it as an important step in the country's European integration process.
Another great day for Montenegro's European integration! By unanimously adopting the constitutional amendments, Montenegro has fulfilled an important obligation on its European path and demonstrated its full commitment to the goal of completing negotiations with the European Union by the end of 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister said in a post on X.
He noted that today's vote also provides further confirmation of Montenegro's credibility in the EU accession process, as well as a strong message of the country's political commitment to its European future.

Alongside continued intensive work to fulfil the remaining obligations, Montenegro will continue to build credibility and trust among its European partners, with a clear goal of completing the accession negotiations by the end of 2026.
