Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Burundi 15:37[...]

On 22 September 2025, the Council adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2025/19411.

The Council Decision extended the application of the existing restrictive measures until 31 October 2026 while the entry concerning one person included in the list of natural and legal persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures, as set out in the Annex to that Decision, should be deleted.

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.

They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
