Overcoming Barriers to PrEP: Nursing Perspectives

Join the Executive Director of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) and a local member of ANAC for a session on barriers to PrEP uptake at 5:30 pm Jan. 23 in the College of Nursing (Crowe Building), Room 208. Fewer than 25% of people who could benefit from PrEP in the U.S. are receiving it. This session will review the reasons for this problem and explore how to achieve expanded PrEP use. The session will be offered in person and online. Registration is required for either option. A light dinner will be offered for the in-person option. The presentation will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Participants will be eligible for 1.5 hours of NCPD credit.
