Representatives of Swedish Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation hosted in Parliament

On September 16, the member of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction, the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration Meri Galstyan met with the Chairman of the Swedish Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation Peter Arvid Nils, the Deputy Chairman Jens Patrik Ahl, and the Member of the Swedish Parliament and the Board Member of the Foundation Gustaf Stensson Frithiof Samuel Göthberg.

Welcoming the guests, Meri Galstyan highly appreciated Sweden's support for the reforms being implemented in Armenia.

At the request of the guests, the MP spoke about the steps being taken towards integration into the European Union, and provided details on the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The Deputy Chair of the Committee emphasized the need for expert assistance from the EU member states in the effective implementation of the process. The MP also stressed the importance of the EU visa liberalization process for the RA citizens.

The Chairman of the Foundation Peter Arvid Nils noted that they had come to Armenia to discuss the prospects for cooperation. He highlighted the importance of the countries' institutional reforms in the European integration process and their commitment to moving in that direction.

The guests expressed their willingness to discuss cooperation opportunities in more detail in the future.
