Davey Names Repenning President, Specialized Services and Emerging Businesses

The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Brent Repenning to President of Specialized Services and Emerging Businesses.

"Brent's success in growing the businesses he has led and implementing creative processes unique to those businesses, combined with a natural curiosity to learn about new and emerging technologies and business opportunities, makes him a natural fit for this segment of our company," said Davey Chairman, President and CEO Pat Covey.

In his new role, Repenning will continue oversight of Davey Resource Group, a subsidiary of Davey Tree. Repenning also will continue to serve as an officer of The Davey Tree Expert Company and serve on the boards of several of Davey's subsidiaries.

Davey continues to expand and build upon service offerings outside of the traditional areas of utility line clearance, residential and commercial tree services, and commercial grounds management. The Specialty Services team will allow the company greater flexibility to develop and grow new services outside the scope of Davey's traditional business areas.

Repenning joined Davey in 1994 as an intern/data collector with Davey Resource Group (DRG) and held positions of increasing responsibility until becoming vice president of eastern operations for DRG in 2009. In 2010 he was named vice president and general manager of DRG. In 2016 he expanded his role to include eastern utility services and was promoted to senior vice president of Davey Resource Group and Davey's Eastern Utility operations. In 2017, he was named executive vice president of U.S. Utility and DRG.

Repenning is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture as well as the Edison Electric Institute and The Society of American Foresters. He holds a degree in natural resource management and forestry from The Ohio State University.
