The City of Detroit continues its tradition of Halloween in the D with a host of fun, family-friendly and, sometimes, spooky activities during the week surrounding Halloween - Oct. 26, Oct. 31 and Nov. 2. Led by the Department of Neighborhoods, the City is still soliciting sponsors, candy donations and volunteers for a series of special events, Halloween parties, and trunk-or-treat locations at police stations and fire stations.
Most of the Halloween in the D events will take place Oct. 31. Additional Halloween-themed events include ScareFest on Oct. 26 at Palmer Park and Fall Fest on Nov. 2 at Farwell Recreation Center.
"Halloween in the D has become one of the most beloved traditions in the city and it just gets better every year," said Mayor Mike Duggan. "Tens of thousands of children across the city, will make memories at our parks, recreation centers, police stations and fire houses that will last them a lifetime. We are so grateful to all the sponsor and volunteers who make Halloween in the D possible each year."
