ROSEMONT, Ill. (March 17, 2026)- This March, as part of its ongoing commitment to injury prevention and patient education, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) is highlighting OrthoInfo.org, its patient education website, along with the newly launched OrthoInfo Podcast, a monthly series that allows patients to hear directly from orthopaedic surgeons about common bone and joint health questions.
Developed and reviewed by board-certified orthopaedic surgeons, OrthoInfo.org provides reliable, patient-friendly information about musculoskeletal conditions, injury prevention and treatment options. The site is designed to help people better understand bone and joint health and prepare for conversations with their doctor.
"Patients are often searching online for answers about pain, injuries or treatment options, and it's important that the information they find is accurate and easy to understand," said Shariff K. Bishai, DO, FAAOS, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and featured guest on the first episode of the OrthoInfo Podcast. "OrthoInfo was created by orthopaedic surgeons to give patients a trusted place to learn about their bone and joint health and feel more confident when discussing care with their doctor."
The recently launched OrthoInfo Podcast expands these resources through conversations with orthopaedic surgeons who answer common patient questions. Episodes explore topics such as when to see an orthopaedic surgeon, what to expect from hip replacement surgery and how life stages such as menopause can affect bone and joint health, helping listeners better understand their musculoskeletal health.
