2025 Designated the Year of Youth in Agriculture
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry has officially designated 2025 as the Year of Youth in Agriculture.
Throughout this year-long initiative, ODAFF will capitalize on opportunities to highlight the next generation of agriculturalists and welcome individuals and organizations to be a part of this project.
"These young people who want to grow up and continue their family's legacy are our next generation of leaders in the agriculture industry, as well as in our communities and our state," said Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture, Blayne Arthur. "Our hope is that by collectively elevating these young people, we will also create awareness amongst the general public of the importance of the next generation of ag producers and professionals who will help us continue to feed, fuel and clothe a growing world population."
The Year of Youth in Agriculture officially began with a Governor's Proclamation and announcement at the Cattlemen's Congress earlier this week.
Join ODAFF in celebrating the opportunities for young people in the agriculture industry throughout 2025 by sharing stories of youth in ag and tagging #OKAg and #AgYouth25 on social media.
