One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route 4 (SR-4) and SR-26 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 4

  • One-way traffic control from Bonanza Mine Way to Appaloosa Road for highway construction work beginning Monday, November 17, 2025, through Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Shirley Road/Telegraph Road to Little Johns Creek for utility work on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Little Johns Creek to O'Byrnes Ferry Road/Rock Creek Road for utility work on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Vallecito Bypass Road to Parrots Ferry Road for utility work beginning Thursday, November 20, 2025, through Friday, November 21, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Horseshoe Drive to Hunter Reservoir for utility work beginning Monday, November 17, 2025, through Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • Long-term, one-way traffic control from Gill Haven Drive to Rich Gulch Lane for highway construction work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
  • One-way traffic control at Humbug Creek Road for utility work on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
