The President highlighted the government's efforts and the latest progress achieved, following the Government of Spain's request today for the sixth disbursement of the Recovery Plan. This will allow Spain to receive another €7.256 billion (€6.467 billion net) before the summer, of which €6.205 billion corresponds to grants and €1.051 billion to loans, after meeting 78 milestones and targets. Once the Commission's approval is obtained, Spain will have received approximately €60.511 billion in grants and €17.283 billion in loans, and will have met 343 milestones and targets, equivalent to 70% of the total planned, consolidating its position as the country with the most advanced implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).

During the meeting, the work done in conjunction with the European Commission on the application for the sixth disbursement was highlighted, as well as the positive progress in implementation and the achievement of milestones and targets, which will allow for the maximum use of the Recovery Plan funds and consolidate Spain's leadership in the management of European funds. As of 31 January, Spain had processed calls for proposals totalling more than €65.390 billion since the start of the Recovery Plan, reaching more than 1.41 million beneficiaries, 69.8% of whom are micro-enterprises and SMEs.

The ministries and public administrations involved are already working in a coordinated manner to guarantee compliance with the agreed-upon milestones for the seventh disbursement, which represents the greatest challenge in terms of accrediting milestones for the Recovery Plan and will allow for the implementation of one of the largest public investment plans in recent history.

The meeting was attended by the First Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Finance, María Jesús Montero; the Second Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Labour and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz; the Third Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Sara Aagesen; the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares; the Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations, Félix Bolaños; the Minister for Defense, Margarita Robles; the Minister for Home Affairs, Fernando Grande-Marlaska; the Minister for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente; the Minister for Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Milagros Tolón; the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas; the Minister for Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres; the Minister for Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez; the Minister for Culture, Ernest Urtasun; the Minister for Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo; the Minister for Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda, Pablo Bustinduy; the Minister for Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant; the Minister for Equality, Ana Redondo; the Minister for Inclusion, Social Security and Migration and Government Spokesperson, Elma Saiz; and the Minister for Youth and Children, Sira Rego.
