Join the Great California ShakeOut & Evacuation Drill

  • Event Date and Time: October 16, 2025, 10:16 AM to 10:46 AM (PDT)
  • City Hall Closure: City Hall will be closed for approximately 30 minutes from 10:16 AM to 10:46 AM (PDT) during the evacuation portion of the drill, simulating a real-life evacuation scenario following a large earthquake.
  • Prepare with Ready.gov: Visit Ready.gov/earthquakes to learn more about what you, your family, and co-workers can do before, during, and after an earthquake. Download the MyShake App to receive real-time earthquake alerts and more.
  • Safety Reminder: Remember, if an earthquake strikes, always DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON.
