Washington, D.C. (April 27, 2026)- The National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC) today announced the hiring of Danielle Griffin as Communications Manager, effective April 27, 2025. Griffin joins NCFC as the organization launches a new strategic plan with enhanced advocacy communications as a core goal.
"Danielle brings exactly the kind of strategic communications experience we need as NCFC moves into this next chapter," said NCFC President and CEO Duane Simpson. "Her track record of translating complex policy and mission-driven content into compelling public narratives will be invaluable as we work to amplify the voice of America's farmer cooperatives."
In her new role, Griffin will help implement a unified cooperative messaging narrative and expand NCFC's social media presence, website, thought leadership, and media engagement.
Background
Griffin brings roughly seven years of strategic communications experience across mission-driven organizations. At the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), she managed social media, led email marketing, pitched press stories, and oversaw VHA's flagship annual publication. At the Georgia Symphony Orchestra, she served as a one-person communications operation spanning web management, graphic design, board engagement, and event promotion. She also brings freelance experience in social media strategy and brand development.
Griffin holds a B.S. in Public Relations and an M.A. in Integrated Global Communications from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga.
"Danielle stood out throughout our search for her ability to connect with audiences and communicate complex ideas in ways that resonate," said Justin Darisse, NCFC Vice President for Strategy and External Affairs. "She understands that communications is not just about what you say-it's about how you build relationships and trust over time. We're thrilled to have her on the team."
