Man Arrested for Harassing Teen Girls with Combat Knife, Weapons and Narcotics Recovered

Seattle police officers arrested a man for following and harassing three teen girls with a marine combat knife in North Seattle Sunday morning.

On October 20th at 10:38 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a male armed with a large hunting knife in the 8500 block of Aurora Avenue North.

Police interviewed the "extremely frightened" 14-year-old victims and developed probable cause to arrest the nearby suspect for Harassment, Displaying Weapons to Intimidate, and Possession of Dangerous Weapons.

Officers recovered a United States Marine Corps KA-BAR knife as evidence. They also seized a pocketknife, slungshot, 1.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and narcotics paraphernalia.

The 28-year-old suspect was transported to King County Jail (KCJ) yet declined booking for refusing to cooperate with medical personnel. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) for evaluation.

The suspect was discharged from HMC and successfully booked into KCJ. He was released after 26 hours.

Detectives in the Homicide & Assault Unit have been assigned to this case.
