Family Fun Day: Come out the George Street Pedestrian Plaza, 371 George St. on Oct. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. for a day filled with laughter and excitement featuring a petting zoo, photo booth, a caricature artist, henna tattoos, lawn games and more.
Harvest Festival: Enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, amusements, a pumpkin patch, food and more during New Brunswick's Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Youth Sports Complex, 411 Joyce Kilmer Ave. The event is free.
Último Domingo: Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead): Join the Zimmerli Art Museum, 71 Hamilton St., for an unforgettable afternoon as it celebrates Día de los Muertos from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26
Spooky Stories: Grades K- 6 children are invited to come to the New Brunswick Free Public Library, 60 Livingston Ave., on Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. as Jess from Fresh Theatre Arts leads an engaging story time and with children helping act out the story. Register for the event here.
Trunk or Treat (Unity Square): Game time, folks. Unity Square is holding its annual Trunk or Treat event on Halloween from 4 to 6 p.m. at Unity Square, 81 Remsen Ave., on Friday, Oct. 31. C'mon out for some treats and maybe a trick.
Trick-or-Treat & Halloween Movie Night: Enjoy a spooktacular afternoon at The Yard at College Avenue, 40 College Ave., on Oct. 31 from 4 to 11 p.m., where you can stop by the restaurants for candy at 4 p.m. and stay to watch the movie "Hocus Pocus" at 4:30 p.m. If you're a scary movie person, catch "Cloverfield" shown on the Jumbotron at 9 p.m..
Day of the Dead Celebration: The New Brunswick Free Public Library will celebrate Day of the Dead on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Carl T. Valenti Community Room at the library, 60 Livingston Ave.
