From December 10 to 16, 2025, Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yue Xiaoyong visited Pakistan and traveled to Iran to attend the consultations among special envoys for Afghanistan of the neighboring countries.
During his stay in Pakistan, Yue Xiaoyong held consultations with Pakistani Prime Minister's Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq, and had in-depth exchanges on issues of mutual concern. During his participation in the meeting in Iran, Yue Xiaoyong had extensive exchanges of views with various parties on the situation in Afghanistan and Afghanistan-related cooperation among neighboring countries.
