Background: City officials will cut the ribbon on a new roundabout at the busy residential intersection of Daniel Maloney Drive and Nieman Boulevard. This intersection saw 24 people injured in crashes between 2015 and 2020, when it was a four-way stop. In 2024, a person was killed when another driver sped through the intersection without stopping and struck their vehicle. The new roundabout is designed to reduce speed and points of conflict, increasing safety for all road users and preventing this kind of tragedy.
