Ernst Names Small Business of the Week, Green Real Estate & Auction Co.

Throughout this Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa's 99 counties.

RED OAK, Iowa - U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Green Real Estate & Auction Co. of Sac County. Throughout the 119^th Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of Iowa's 99 counties.

"Green Real Estate & Auction Co. proves that investing in Iowa land is truly evergreen," said Chair Ernst. "For more than a century, the Greens have helped Iowa families navigate property sales, estate transitions, and agricultural transactions, while adapting to meet the evolving needs of local communities, farmers, and businesses."

Founded in 1894 by Col. Festus J. Green, Green Real Estate & Auction Co. has served western Iowa for more than 130 years as a trusted provider of auctioneering and real estate services. Originally established as an auction and real estate business, the company has expanded over time to include farmland sales, farm machinery and consignment auctions, and residential real estate. Today, the business is led by Jim Green, representing the fifth generation of family ownership.
