Chinese Ambassador to the Solomon Islands Cai Weiming Attends the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship Award Ceremony

On October 16, the Chinese Embassy in Solomon Islands held the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship Award Ceremony in Solomon Islands National University. Chinese Ambassador Cai Weiming, Vice Chancellor Dr. Transform Aqorau, faculty and student representatives attended.

Ambassador Cai noted that over the past six years, China-Solomon Islands cooperation has yielded substantial benefits for both peoples. He stressed that the one-China principle is the political foundation of bilateral relations. China will continue to uphold its "four full respects" toward Solomon Islands and work with Solomon Islands side to implement the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, Global Civilization Initiative, and Global Governance Initiative, building a closer China-Solomon Islands community with a shared future.

Dr. Aqorau expressed his gratitude to China for its strong support for the development of education and its continued assistance to young students, and he hoped that educational cooperation between the two countries would yield more fruitful results.
