Kirkland Advises Brookfield on Squeeze-Out of alstria office

Kirkland & Ellis has advised Brookfield Asset Management ("Brookfield") on the successful squeeze-out of minority shareholders of alstria office AG. The corporate squeeze-out of the minority shareholders has been approved by the general meeting and was completed in June 2025.

alstria office AG is a leading manager for office real estate in Germany. It owns and manages a first-class portfolio of office buildings in several German cities. The company's real estate portfolio comprises 106 commercial properties with a total lettable area of 1.38 million square meters.

Kirkland had already advised Brookfield in 2021 on the voluntary public takeover offer for all outstanding shares of alstria office AG.

The Kirkland team included corporate lawyers Achim Herfs, Thomas Hornberger, Sabrina Seitz and Philipp Poitiers.
