Prime Minister Inga Ruginienėsends sends sincere greetings, on behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, to Estonia on its Independence Day.
"This day stands as a powerful symbol of Estonia's enduring commitment to freedom, sovereignty, and democratic values. The strength, resilience, and remarkable achievements of Estonia over the years of restored independence continue to inspire not only Lithuania but the entire European community.
Lithuania and Estonia are bound by a shared history and a profound understanding that the freedom and security of our nations are inseparable. As Baltic neighbours and close allies, we stand united in our responsibility to safeguard our region and to strengthen our cooperation within the European Union, NATO, and regional formats. The solidarity among the Baltic States remains one of our greatest strengths.
We remain firmly united in our unwavering political, military, and humanitarian support for Ukraine, and in our joint efforts to ensure a just and lasting peace based on the principles of sovereignty and international law.
As we continue to enhance connectivity, energy resilience, and economic competitiveness across the Baltic region, I am confident that our close cooperation will further contribute to a secure, prosperous, and forward-looking Europe," reads Prime Minister's message of greetings.
