The City of Marion will welcome "That Arena Rock Show" to the Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park (4500 N. 10th Street) on Saturday, June 20, as part of its Music Under the Moon concert series sponsored by Veridian Credit Union.
Known for delivering the sights, sounds and energy of classic arena rock, "That Arena Rock Show" recreates the concert experience of the 1970s and 1980s with powerful vocals, iconic costumes and all the greatest rock anthems fans know and love.
The evening will feature free live entertainment, family-friendly activities, food vendors and refreshments in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Activities begin at 6 p.m. The opener, School of Rock, will perform from 6:30-7:30 p.m., and "That Arena Rock Show" will take the stage at 8 p.m.
Guests can enjoy glitter tattoos, henna tattoos (cash or Venmo accepted) and yard games for all ages. Food and drink will be available for purchase from Hy-Vee, Pita'z Mediterranean and American Cuisine, The Freeze and Kona Ice.
New this year, Big Grove Brewery will be serving beverages from the Lowe Park Snack Shack throughout the event.
The concert is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Well-behaved pets are welcome and coolers are permitted.
Parking is available in the main lot adjacent to the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center and in the auxiliary lot west of the amphitheater, accessible from Irish Drive off Tower Terrace Road.
