City Council Recognizes Fire Foundation

At the May 4, 2026 meeting, the San Rafael Fire Foundation received a proclamation of special recognition from the Mayor and members of the City Council. The Foundation is responsible for many significant contributions including the drone program and the purchase of the department's fire boat among sponsoring many other programs and purchasing specialized equipment.
The San Rafael Fire Foundation is a community nonprofit organization formed in 2014 by a group of community and business leaders committed to keeping San Rafael safe by strengthening the preparedness and responsiveness of the San Rafael Fire Department. They support San Rafael firefighters and paramedics who protect our lives, property and the environment by funding technology, equipment, training and public outreach through donations.
