PM shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the timeless wisdom of Vedas

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the timeless wisdom of Vedas:

"ऊर्ध्वमूलमधःशाखमश्वत्थं प्राहुरव्ययम्।

छन्दांसि यस्य पर्णानि यस्तं वेद स वेदवित्।।"

The Subhashitam conveys, "The wise say that this world is like an eternal peepal tree, with roots above and branches below. Its leaves are the Vedas. One who understands this tree of worldly existence is said to be a knower of the Vedas."

Shri Modi stated that the lamp of knowledge not only dispels the darkness of ignorance, but also illuminates the entire world and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati Ji is a living example of this.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

"ज्ञान का दीपक ना केवल अज्ञानता के अंधकार को मिटाता है, बल्कि समस्त जगत को आलोकित भी करता है। महर्षि दयानंद सरस्वती जी का दिव्य व्यक्तित्व इसका साक्षात उदाहरण है।
