Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev

On February 16, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev, who is on an official visit to Dushanbe.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State welcomed the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of a friendly country to Tajikistan, and emphasized the constant attention of the Tajik side to the issues of strengthening and expanding strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries in the spirit of mutual understanding, respect, and trust.

In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and stressed the worthy contribution of the Leader of the Nation to the continuous development of all aspects of Tajik-Kazakh relations.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in various areas were discussed.

The Leader of the Nation expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between the two countries and noted the importance of continuing the ongoing political dialogue to give a new impetus to the relations between the parties in the fields of trade and economy, investment, humanitarian and cultural affairs, security, and other areas of mutual interest. In this context, the schedule of upcoming meetings and contacts between the parties at the highest level was discussed.

Also, an exchange of views took place on issues of multilateral cooperation within the framework of international and regional structures.
