TITLE: "The Road Less Traveled: Leadership Lessons Learned through Cycling"

OBJECTIVES:

  • Knowledge: The learner will gain knowledge of the void of leadership training in surgery and the need to think about their leadership skills.
  • Competence (Abilities & Skills): Understand how to be a better leader by embracing their individual skills.
  • Medical Practice (Performance): The learners will be better suited for leadership roles such as chief resident, program director, and clinical team leader.
  • Patient Outcomes: Improvements to patient outcomes will be through better team leadership in patient care.
