Bridge over the Strait of Messina: statement by Palazzo Chigi

A meeting was held at Palazzo Chigi this morning between President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni, Vice-Presidents of the Council of Ministers Matteo Salvini and Antonio Tajani and Undersecretaries of State Alfredo Mantovano and Giovanbattista Fazzolari, to discuss the project for a bridge over the Strait of Messina.

Following the meeting, it was agreed to wait for the explanations for yesterday's decision by the Italian Court of Auditors to be published.

Only after examining said explanations in detail will the Government proceed to duly respond to each point raised, using all the instruments provided for by the legal framework.

The goal, which is fully shared by the entire Government, remains the same: to make this project a reality.
