Commission acts against dumped imports of erythritol from China

A preceding investigation showed that dumped imports from China were seriously injuring the Union industry, which sustained double digit losses and was forced to halt its erythritol production towards the end of 2022. The EU market is worth €30 million annually.

In the absence of swift and adequate measures, the situation of the Union industry would have continued to deteriorate and may have led to a definitive closure.

The anti-dumping duties imposed today range from 34.4% to 233.3% and will also be collected retroactively, as of 7 June 2024, at the level of provisional duties that were imposed on 19 July 2024.
