ALTOONA, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Governor's Advisory Commission on Women is hosting a statewide listening tour and will make a stop at Penn State Altoona on Thursday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
The Commission invites all women to attend and share their lived experiences. These conversations will directly inform the State of the Woman Report - the first comprehensive report on the status of women in Pennsylvania in more than two decades.
This is an inclusive and bipartisan effort to ensure women from every background, community and region are heard. Voices from rural, suburban and urban areas will help shape data-driven recommendations to guide future policy and progress.
Beth Seymour, teaching professor of anthropology, communications, history, and women's, gender and sexuality studies at Penn State Altoona, will moderate the session.
All women are invited to attend and may also participate in a digital survey.
