EXTENDED: CLAY COUNTY - Crews have closed one lane on southbound U.S. 169 from the on ramp/entrance at Richards Road to the beginning of the Buck O'Neil Bridge. This work is for barrier wall improvements. Work will take place beginning NOW until approximately Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 11:59 p.m. (Extended from Friday, November 22.) All work is weather permitting.
In addition, southbound U.S. 169 will open to traffic on the Buck O'Neil Bridge prior to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Southbound U.S. 169 traffic has been closed for construction on the project since Feb. 6, 2023. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
