Sound Barrier Repair on I-84 Westbound at Exit 25A in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the repair of an existing sound barrier on I-84 westbound in Waterbury between Exit 25A and 25. This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 2 and be completed on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The project consists of repairing a damaged portion of the existing sound barrier system.
This project is being performed by Quaker Corporation.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be a right lane closure on I-84 westbound at Exit 25A from Monday, March 2 to Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns and flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
