Top-performing students at Wentworth Institute of Technology were recognized for their academic excellence with an induction into Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), the premier international honor society for computing and information disciplines.

To qualify for this prestigious honor, students must meet rigorous academic standards, including maintaining a minimum 3.5 GPA and ranking in the top 35% of their class. The society recognizes outstanding achievement and professionalism across various tech-driven fields, including computer science, cybersecurity, data science, and information technology.

Founded in 1967, UPE is one of the most highly regarded honors in the computing industry. Today, it boasts more than 300 chapters worldwide and a network of over 200,000 computing professionals and scholars.

Induction into UPE is a one-time recognition of excellence that grants lifetime membership. While students have the option to take on leadership roles or participate in networking and professional development events, there are no required service hours or ongoing commitments. Instead, inductees gain a lifelong credential that strengthens résumés, graduate school applications, and professional profiles.
