PENITAS, Tex., April 9, 2025 - Molina Healthcare of Texas, together with the American Heart Association, presented a blood pressure testing station to Proyecto Desarrollo Humano. The station will be available for community members to access during regular operating hours.
Funding for the station was part of a recent $100,000 grant from The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Texas. The grant supports the placement of 20 table-top blood pressure stations at highly trafficked locations in Greater Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Laredo, El Paso, Tyler, Hidalgo County, and Bexar County.
The Penitas installation event also featured a presentation on how to use the machine, as well as how to manage one's blood pressure. It included tips and information on cardiovascular health and how to live healthier lives so as to improve health outcomes.
