Southfield Wildlife Commission Earth/Arbor Day Community Clean Up

The City of Southfield Wildlife Commission & Southfield Public Schools will host the Earth/Arbor Day Community Clean-Up on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Those interested in participating are requested to meet at the Southfield Pavilion for team assignments.

Suggested Items to Bring for the Earth Day Clean-Up

  • Work Gloves - Protect hands from dirt, debris, and sharp objects.
  • Rakes - Clear leaves, twigs, and other debris from trails and garden beds.
  • Shovels - Assist with digging, leveling soil, and preparing garden beds.
  • Garbage Bags - For collecting non-recyclable waste.
  • Recycle Bags - For collecting recyclable materials separately.
  • Water Bottles - Stay hydrated while working.
  • Trash Grabbers/Pickers - Make it easier to pick up litter without bending down.
  • Buckets - Useful for carrying soil, compost, or larger debris.
  • Brooms - Help sweep paved areas or sidewalks.
  • Compostable Yard Waste Bags - For leaves, branches, and other organic material.
  • Sun Protection - Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen for protection from the sun.
