LIMITED SUBMISSION: Brain Research Foundation Letter of Intent

Internal Submission Deadline: May 1, 2026

UT Health Sciences is invited to nominate one senior faculty member to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the Brain Research Foundation Scientific Innovations Award competition. This program provides specific funding for innovative science in both basic and clinical neuroscience. The funding mechanism is designed to support creative, exploratory, cutting edge research in well-established research laboratories, under the direction of established investigators.

Once the UT Health Sciences nominee is chosen, they will then route their materials for Sponsored Programs approval through the internal grant application system. Once approval is received, the application package will then be submitted to the Brain Research Foundation. Because this is a two-phase competition, only those LOIs that are selected by the BRF team will be invited to participate in the full application phase.
