Residential Turf Replacement Program
The Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) is offering the Turf Replacement Program to qualifying residents and businesses. Use up to 50-70% less water outdoors by replacing thirsty turf grass with a beautiful, climate-appropriate landscape.
Rebate Information
- Rebates start at $2 per square foot of turf grass replaced. Funding is limited, so apply now!
- Do not remove your grass until your application is approved. Projects that are underway or already completed prior to the receipt of the "Letter to Proceed" email are not eligible to participate.
- Every Turf Replacement project must include a Sustainability Feature and at least 3 plants per 100 square feet.
- An additional Tree Rebate is available for Turf Replacement Program participants. Receive an extra $100 bonus rebate per tree planted (up to 5 trees).
- A Landscape Design Rebate is also available to Turf Replacement Program participants. Receive up to $1000 rebate for a professional landscape design.
- Artificial or Synthetic Turf is not eligible for a rebate.
