MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho Transportation Department invites community members to attend an upcoming public meeting on March 26 to learn more about refined transportation concepts for the US-95 Palouse Region Study in Latah County between Snow Road and the Latah/Benewah County line.
With projected traffic volumes and anticipated growth in the area, the US-95 Palouse Region Study was initiated in 2023 to guide future investments to improve safety, mobility, and economic opportunity throughout the region.
The first steps included identifying transportation needs, environmental and growth considerations, and community goals. From those findings, as well as community feedback received during previous public meetings, and additional data collection and analysis, the study team is now sharing refined transportation alternatives for US-95 to serve the Palouse Region through the future. This public meeting is an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and provide input as the study moves toward the final evaluation phase in fall 2026.
Opportunities to participate in the public meeting are available both in person and online. Both experiences will include the same information and opportunity for feedback.
Online: Available before the open house from March 19 through April 9 at us95sh8.com.
In Person: March 26. Drop in anytime between 4 and 7 p.m. at Best Western Plus University Inn, Moscow.
Input is encouraged via the in-person comment form or online survey from March 19 through April 9.
"The feedback we receive helps shape the direction of this study," Project Manager Janet Zarate said. "As we evaluate concepts, continued public input will ensure the potential solutions reflect the needs and priorities for transportation in the Palouse Region."
