CFP Board’s Proposed Changes Will Make It Tougher — and Easier — to Get and Keep a CFP. Here’s How.

CFP Board is seeking public input on proposed updates to its Competency Standards for CFP® certification. The changes include tightening requirements for individuals aspiring to become CFP® professionals and offering more flexibility, such as allowing up to 500 hours of pro bono work to count toward the 6,000-hour experience requirement.
