Prime Minister Edi Rama will take part in the official establishment of the Peace Board

Prime Minister Edi Rama departed today for Washington, following an invitation from U.S. President Donald J. Trump, to attend the official founding of the Peace Board and the launch of its activities, in which Albania has the privilege of being a founding state.

A few days earlier, when announcing his participation in this event, Prime Minister Rama stated that "Albania will not contribute financially in order to join or to remain a permanent member, but will contribute with its dignity and with what has earned it international respect and an invitation to participate, at such a high level, in discussions on the future of peace."

The Peace Board, initiated by President Trump, aims to strengthen peace in the Middle East and, at the same time, to pursue a bold new approach to resolving global conflict.
