No Empty Chair Campaign is this week

This week, we're once again participating in the "No Empty Chair Campaign" - a statewide traffic safety initiative focused on protecting young drivers during prom and graduation season.

Each day highlights a critical issue:

- Speeding in school zones

- Seat belt use

- Distracted driving

- Passing stopped school buses (Operation Safe Stop)

- Underage drinking and impaired driving

Our deputies will be increasing patrols near Washington County schools. These efforts are about more than enforcement-they're about saving lives.

Every young person deserves to make it to graduation. No family should face an empty chair.
