New Mexico Department of Public Safety launches new social media accounts

SANTA FE, New Mexico - Sept. 11, 2025 - Interested in the latest news from the Missing Persons Clearinghouse, the Forensics Lab or when the next class is graduating the law enforcement academy?

You'll have direct access to that and other news from the entire New Mexico Department of Public Safety with our new social media accounts to include: Facebook, Instagram, X, Bluesky and Linked In. News and features will also be posted to the department website: https://www.dps.nm.gov.

"We're pleased to offer these new communications platforms about all the good work the Department of Public Safety is doing for the people of New Mexico," said Cabinet Secretary Jason Bowie. "We are committed to providing the highest quality of public safety services and that includes communications - to share what we do each and every day."

The department's social media posts kicked off officially on Sept. 11.

The Department of Public Safety encompasses the New Mexico State Police, New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy, Information Technology Division, Technical Support Division including the Forensics Lab and Records Bureau, and the Administrative Services Division including grants, finance, budget and human resources bureaus.
