TOP Central Park to revive RV music carnival for National Day holiday

Shanghai's TOP Central Park in Putuo district will bring back its RV music carnival on Oct 5-6, with the district final of the Shanghai Karaoke King Contest to be held there on Sept 25.

Open to singers of any background, the contest will crown a Putuo Song King, with the top three finishers earning direct spots in the citywide final. A professional panel will judge vocal skill, stage presence, and emotional delivery.

One female contestant will be picked to join Chang Hung-liang on the main stage on Oct 5 for a duet, giving an amateur a rare chance to perform beside a music star.

The site will also include an RV camping zone and a market area, where hosts from Dynamic 101 and Love Radio 103.7 will lead lawn games for VIP guests.

The carnival debuted last year during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday with two themed music events, five crossover performances, a 30-RV campsite, and a 1,000-drone night show above the eco park.

Early-bird tickets are on sale for one week only, or while supplies last. The event will take place on the outdoor lawn at No 9 Dunhuang Road, Putuo district, Shanghai.
