NOVATO, Calif. - September 26, 2024 - Bank of Marin, a premier community bank and the wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Marin Bancorp (Nasdaq: BMRC), today announced it donated more than $627,000 to 137 schools and nonprofits through its 2024 Charitable Grants Program.

"We have an inherent belief that we are only as strong as the communities we serve and are fully committed to being part of the efforts that strengthen the cities in our footprint and the lives of our neighbors," said Tim Myers, president and CEO, Bank of Marin. "Our Charitable Grants Program is designed to provide extra financial support to organizations executing programs and initiatives that help empower, educate, and otherwise lift the community. On behalf of the Bank, we thank every organization that applied for funding and for their tireless contributions to the places we call home."

As part of its commitment to the communities it serves, the Bank donates at least 1% of pre-tax profit annually to eligible organizations in the greater Bay Area including the North Bay, and the Greater Sacramento region. Grants were distributed to qualifying entities whose programs and initiatives focused on the Bank's three priority areas: Community & Economic Vitality, Education, and Enrichment & Wellness.

"Thanks to the generous funding from Bank of Marin, we expanded our Simply Strings program which enabled 24 students to attend our Summer Music Academy," said Simply Strings Director of Education Wendy Cilman. "This support has nurtured students' musical talents and helped shape compassionate, resilient individuals who are making a meaningful impact in our community."

Simply Strings, a program of Santa Rosa Symphony, launched in 2013 to redress profound gaps in access to music education for the underserved community of Roseland in Santa Rosa. It delivers high-quality music instruction with free musical instruments for three, eight-week sessions during the school year.

The application window for the Bank's 2025 grant portal is open now and closes Friday, October 4. Nonprofits and schools interested in learning more about eligibility and applying for grant funding can visit the community engagement section of the Bank's website, www.bankofmarin.com.
