Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series Returns This Summer

The Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series returns to the Canal Place Festival Grounds in Cumberland every Thursday at 7 p.m., June 25-August 27, 2026. Launched in 2023, the free, family-friendly series brings diverse live music to the community, encouraging attendees to gather with blankets or chairs and enjoy a shared summer tradition.

The series is produced through a partnership between the Frostburg State University Cultural Events Series, Allegany Arts Council and Loft 129, with additional support from the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority and Allegany County ("The Mountain Side of Maryland"). Funding from Allegany County, the City of Cumberland and Frostburg State University sustains the series.

2026 lineup:

• June 25: Chloe Kimes - Nashville-based folk/alt-country singer-songwriter noted by NPR as an artist on the rise.
• July 2: Nappy Head Funk Army - Funk Hall of Fame inductees with roots in the P-Funk tradition.
• July 9: C.J. Chenier & the Red-Hot Louisiana Band - Grammy-nominated zydeco/blues artist continuing the legacy of Clifton Chenier.
• July 16: ¡Tumbao! - Raleigh-based Latin fusion ensemble blending salsa, Afro-Cuban, cumbia and more.
• July 23: The Foxies - High-energy Nashville trio mixing punk, pop and synth-driven sounds.
• July 30: Greenwood Rye - Modern jam-grass band combining bluegrass roots with improvisation.
• Aug. 6: Shayna Steele - Acclaimed vocalist spanning jazz, soul and blues; Broadway and global stage performer.
• Aug. 13: Blue Water Highway - Austin-based Americana/folk-rock group known for rich harmonies.
• Aug. 20: Patty PerShayla - Nashville rocker blending blues, punk and folk influences.
• Aug. 27: Holy Roller - Richmond, VA Southern rock band closing the series with harmony-driven storytelling.

The series is supported in part by the Levitt Foundation, which funds over 900 free concerts annually in 90+ U.S. communities, alongside additional support from Allegany County, the City of Cumberland, Frostburg State University and the Cumberland Arts & Entertainment District.
