Campbell Law welcomes Jacqueline Venezia as Assistant Professor of LRW

RALEIGH - Campbell Law School will welcome Jacqueline A. Venezia as Assistant Professor of Legal Research and Writing in August, Dean J. Rich Leonard has announced.

Venezia will teach the Advanced Legal Writing course required of all second-year students, Leonard said.

Prior to joining Campbell Law, Venezia worked as a Senior Associate Attorney at Stotler Hayes Group in Apex, North Carolina, for the past five years. There she represented large corporate entities in various aspects of the healthcare/business field, including information and privacy regulation and compliance, long-term nursing care budgeting and receivables, litigation, guardianships and probate.

Venezia served as Academic Success Fellow and Legal Research and Writing Fellow as well as a Faculty Assistant, from 2017 to 2021 at the Charleston School of Law.

She clerked for Circuit Court Judge Deadra L. Jefferson in Charleston, South Carolina, after earning her JD summa cum laude in 2019 from the Charleston School of Law, where she made the Dean's List each semester, was a Presidential Honors Recipient and a CALI Award recipient in the following courses: Civil Procedure I & II, Contracts II, Property II, Secured Transactions, and Legal Research and Writing II.

While in law school, Venezia served on the Student Bar Association, the Honor Council and as treasurer for Women in Law. She also served as an extern for federal Judge Richard M. Gergel and as a clinical extern for Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services. In addition, she worked as a law clerk for the Law Office of Tricia A. Blanchette in Columbia, South Carolina, and the Jolley Law Group in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2015 from the University of South Carolina, where she graduated magna cum laude and made the Dean's List every semester.

Venezia is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.

When she is not practicing law or teaching, Venezia likes to hike, take Italian language lessons, play video games, spend time with her family and read fiction novels.
