Knott's Bipartisan Aviation Bill Passes House

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Aviation Supply Chain Safety and Security Digitization Act of 2025 (H.R. 6267), a bipartisan bill introduced by Congressman Brad Knott (NC-13) and Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (MI-03). This commonsense, industry-supported legislation aims to modernize safety documents related to airplane parts, helping to ensure the entire supply chain meets Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards.
"In Congress, working to quickly remove inefficiencies at every level is a top priority for me. The Aviation Supply Chain Safety and Security Digitization Act is just one example of modernizing government to work more efficiently for the American people, and I'm proud that, today, we managed to pass it through the House. When it becomes law, taxpayers will benefit on every level," Rep. Knott said.
"West Michigan has long been a leader in aerospace and defense manufacturing, and it is essential we work together to ensure federal policies are keeping pace with the industry," said Rep. Scholten. "It is beyond time for the FAA to transition to digital documentation and prevent counterfeit parts from entering our aviation supply chains, which is why I'm so proud our Aviation Supply Chain Safety and Security Digitization Act of 2025 has passed the House. As a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I will keep working with my bipartisan colleagues to get this bill passed into law and enhance aviation safety and security for all Americans."
